Hail The Traveler!

Hail the Traveler

Hail the Traveler! We commit you back from where you came

— to the arms of your ancestors. May there be peace where there was anger.

May there be healing where there was hurt.

Go quickly to the place that your old ones called home.

For those who grieve for your passing, let there be healing.

For those who grieve for who you were, let there be healing.

For those who grieve for what you could have been, let there be healing.

Hail the Traveler. We celebrate your journey

I came across this on someone's post announcing the passing of their pet and just really like the wording and would love it if someone read this when the time comes and I have departed! So soothing and triumphant!

Thrift Stores are CHAMP!

Yesterday at a Salvation Army store with my uncle David I bought a "new couch" for my new home in NJ!! Yes I moved 30 miles west of NYC on April 1st! It was time for a new chapter and so far I'm loving my new home, location and really it was the best decision for me!
I have gaurenteed parking and a dishwasher! Let me tell you after 21 years of hand washing the dishes it was a thrill to use the dishwasher! And I won't miss asp (alternative side street parking). I'm also less than 25 minutes away from my job. And can still visit the city any time I want like last Sunday for the 2nd Passover meal at Temple Emmanuel! In a way I get to have my cake and eat it too!
Here is the couch I bought for $120 worth easily over 4K! It is an Ethan Alen couch! I also bought the gray Turkish brand Istikbal chair for $69.95 (also retails for several hundred dollars)! And then paid $80 bucks to have it delivered! But boy it was a b*tch to get into the apt! Took us 30 minutes or so because the foyer area is so narrow outside of my apt! But we did it and I saved myself thousands of dollars!
I heart thrift stores!
